Transfers to Ronda

Ronda is an amazing place, which will leave you with many unforgettable memories. It is situated 750 metres above sea level, in the heart of the Serrania de Ronda, a mountainous region known for its scenic beauty. Ronda is famous for its dramatic location, set on a high plateau overlooking a gorge cut by the Guadalevin River. The deep gorge - El Tajo - divides the town into two distinct areas, the old town and the newer part. Three bridges span the gorge - the most famous of these, the Puente Nuevo, offers breathtaking views over the city and the surrounding area.

The closest airport to Ronda is Malaga and by far the easiest way of getting from Malaga Airport to Ronda is via a pre-arranged airport transfer. A booking with Solhop is completely risk-free: you don't have to pay any money in advance and you can change or cancel your booking completely free of charge if needed.

"Excellent communication from start to finish. Easy to book. Friendly drivers. Even given a bottle of water each on arrival. Highly recommended."

What transfer options are available from Malaga Airport to Ronda?

All Solhop transfers are private, meaning your booked transfer vehicle is reserved only for you and the people you are travelling with. You will never have to share your vehicle with strangers which, in current times, is reassuring to know. Another advantage of a private transfer is the fact that you will be taken from the airport straight to your holiday accommodation in Ronda, without any detours or additional stops.

We have a large fleet so you can be sure to find the right type of vehicle to suit your specific needs. If you are travelling in a smaller group of up to 4 people, you have the choice of an economy taxi, a modern Premium Saloon vehicle or a stylish VIP Saloon. If you are travelling with a little more luggage, a Station Wagon might be the best option for you.

We also cater for larger groups. You have the option of a Premium Minivan for a maximum of 7 people, or a private minibus for up to 12 passengers or up to 19 passengers respectively.

You can also book a suitable seat for your child or baby - just let us know what you need when you fill in your booking form. We will then make sure that your taxi comes correctly equipped so that you don't need to worry about your child's safety.

Sightseeing in Ronda

Ronda has a rich history that dates back to prehistoric times. The city has been inhabited by various cultures throughout the centuries, including the Celts, the Romans, and the Moors. This is reflected in its architecture and cultural heritage, so do make sure not to miss any of its main attractions:

  • The Puente Nuevo, one of the three bridges that spans the gorge over the Guadalevin River and offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
  • The old town, which is characterised by narrow streets and historic buildings.
  • The bullring, Plaza de Torros.
  • The Palacio de Mondragon, a Moorish palace that now houses a museum.

The Hemingway Connection

Ronda served as an inspirational setting for some of the works of renowned author Ernest Hemingway. Known for his deep connection with Spain, Hemingway visited the city during the Spanish Civil War and, unsurprisingly, it made a lasting impression on him.

In his novel "For Whom the Bell Tolls", Ronda is mentioned as a place of historical significance, and its landscapes and traditions are woven into the story. This connection has made Ronda a destination for literature enthusiasts interested in retracing the steps of Hemingway and exploring the town's role in his literary works.

SolHoP provides great service. When we arrived, the driver waited for us even if we were late. And when we drove back to airport, the driver arrived on time. The customer service responses through email were also very quick and they answered all my questions promptly and thoroughly. We will use this service again when we return.

We were 5 people (inc. 3 kids) traveling from the center of Madrid to the Madrid airport. Given we had an early morning flight back to the U.S., we booked this taxi transfer. Booking was easy. The driver was very professional, on time, and the vehicle was very comfortable. I am glad we chose this service for an easy transfer at the beginning of a long journey home.

Carolnomad (GR)

The driver was really professional and I was delayed due to luggage issues so I called him and he waited patiently for me. The car provided was an upgrade and a nice surprise and the ride back was smooth. Nice welcome and fluent in english

TravelGuy0505 (GR)

We were 5 people travelling from our hotel in Granda to a hotel in Malaga. The booking process and journey were both very comfortable. The vehicle was on time and the driver was very professional and courteous. The 7 seater van was also of luxury class ( Mercedes).
