Aim and description of services

The company responsible for the services detailed in these terms and conditions is SOLHOP SL (hereinafter SOLHOP), with tax identification number B93176154, and whose address is Paseo de Reding, 43, 1º Izquierda, 29016, Malaga.

SOLHOP holds all the rights to the website found at www.solhop.com (hereinafter the Website), which was generated and constructed from software, design, and contents.

These conditions regulate the management and reservation of passenger transportation services provided by SOLHOP. 

Regulations

These General Conditions have been prepared in accordance with that established in Law 34/2002, regarding services to the information society and electronic commerce; Law 7/1998, pertaining to General Conditions of Contract; the Royal Decree 1906/1999 which regulates telephone or electronic contracts with general conditions developed from article 5.3 of Law 7/1998; General Law 26/1984 for the Defence of Consumers and Users; Law 7/1996, the Retail Trade Regulation Act; and any other legal disposition which may be applicable.

SOLHOP is able to modify these General Conditions by publishing the changes on the portal. The version that is published at the time of access to the website shall apply in each case.

If any of the clauses in these general conditions were to be declared void or null, totally or partially, said nullity or ineffectiveness will apply only to that particular provision or section of it which is void or ineffective. All other parts of the general conditions will remain in force, with the affected provision or section of it not being taken into consideration.

Contracting procedure

By submitting the information which we request via our online booking  form, you are entering into the contract for the transportation service, where all the relevant stated conditions apply.

Following this act, you will receive an email with information from our booking office, and you will be able to verify that your personal data and that of the services are correct.

Payment procedure

With most of our routes and transfer types, payment is normally made in cash or with credit card (where possible) directly to your driver after each journey. You do not need to pay for any upcoming journeys, but only the one you are currently riding. If you have booked more than one transfer, you will NOT be asked to pay for your upcoming transfer(s) after your first journey. Payment is only made after each transfer. If your driver does ask you to pay both journeys at once, please contact us as soon as possible on bookings@solhop.com or on WhastApp at +34 693 900 900, in order to notify us of this.

Prepayment is required on some of our routes and transfer types. Please see below for details. 

Prepayment procedure

With most of our routes and transfer types, payment is normally made in cash or with credit card (where possible) directly to your driver after each journey. You do not need to pay for any upcoming journeys, but only the one you are currently riding. If you have booked more than one transfer, you will NOT be asked to pay for your upcoming transfer(s) after your first journey. Payment is only made after each transfer. If your driver does ask you to pay both journeys at once, please contact us as soon as possible on bookings@solhop.com or on WhastApp at +34 693 900 900, in order to notify us of this.

Some of our routes and transfer types require advance payment. If your transfer type does require advance payment Solhop will send you a link, via email, from the Santander Bank, by which you can make a secure payment online. Once completed, your transfer booking will be marked as paid in full. 

Cancellation policy after prepayment

If you need to cancel your transfer please provide us with at least 6 hours notice. Solhop will then proceed to return your full payment within 5 working days. There is no charge for cancellation. You can also amend your booking without cost, provided we have 6 hours notice. 

Failure of notification of cancellation

If you fail to notify Solhop of your cancellation, your booking will be marked as a “no-show” and you will forfeit your payment. In case of any error when entering the contract for the service, or if there is a mistake in the entered data or conditions of the contract, it will be possible to amend those mistakes or cancel the service for which the contract was entered by replying to the received email. Such cancellation will not generate any cost to the user.

General conditions

The user’s request to enter into a contract for the service implies an agreement to the present Terms and Conditions and the rest of the Conditions which regulate the use of said Website. This is formalized when the booking takes place.

Waiting time for transfers

Depending on the location your driver will be picking you up from, Solhop offers a complimentary waiting time, meaning that your driver will wait for you for that amount of time without any extra charges.

Our complimentary waiting times are as follows:

  • Pickup from an Airport: 60 minutes
  • Pickup from a Port, Train & Bus Station: 30 minutes
  • Pickup from any other location: 15 minutes

Your complimentary waiting time starts counting from your selected pickup time, so make sure that you have taken into account the time it will take you to reach the meeting point, especially when arriving at an airport (time needed for going through customs, collecting checked in luggage, etc.).

​Extra Waiting Time & Charges

In cases where you are delayed or just need some extra time, your driver might be able to wait for you for longer, but please be advised that the additional waiting time will result in an additional charge based on the vehicle type that has been assigned to your transfer. These extra fees may be paid to the driver in cash.

The extra waiting time charges are as follows:

  • For a transfer with a Saloon type vehicle: EUR 12.00 per 15 minutes
  • For a transfer with a Minivan vehicle: EUR 15.00 per 15 minutes
  • For a transfer with a Minibus vehicle: EUR 20.00 per 15 minutes

What if my flight / ship is delayed?

Your driver tracks any flights or ferries for delays, so if you have booked a pickup from an Airport or Port and your arriving flight/ferry is delayed, there is no need to worry! Any delay will be accommodated and your pickup time will be changed accordingly by the driver. If your arrival flight is cancelled completely or you are not sure on the new arrival time please contact us as soon as possible at bookings @solhop.com.


What if my flight / ship arrives early?

Your Solhop Driver will monitor your flight / ship for delays only. In the eventuality that your flight or boat arrive earlier than indicated by your booking, your driver will be at the pickup location at the time you have selected for your booked transfer.

Price

The prices quoted on the booking form of www.solhop.com are the prices that will be charged for the respective services. Once you have made a booking, the price shown will be locked in until you make payment, unless your transfer is otherwise amended with your instructions, whereupon a new price will be agreed upon. Solhop prices remain valid as long as they are displayed on the www.solhop.com. The company reserves the right to change these prices at any time. Price changes apply from the moment they are incorporated in the aforementioned website.

Service rendering

The rendering of specific services contracted by the user shall take place in the manner in which they are described in their respective descriptions.

Responsibility for the service

SOLHOP limits itself to informing the user of the specific offers regarding services offered by third party companies (suppliers), as well as managing the bookings for these services. Transfer bookings made by the user will be contracted to a specific passenger transport company (supplier). Therefore, at no time  will SOLHOP be held responsible for issues related to the rendering of the service, such as:

.- Baggage loss or damage.

.- Lack of punctuality.

.- Changes in the service contracted for.

.- Problems or accidents which occur during the journey.

In these cases, the responsible entity will exclusively be the passenger transport company (supplier) rendering the service. Thus, SOLHOP will provide the user with all the details of such transport company (supplier) to enable the user to make any claims which may be appropriate to the case.  

Jurisdiction

These General Terms and Conditions are subject to Spanish law. Waiving any other jurisdiction, the parties submit, at their choosing, to the courts of the user’s place of residence for the settlement of disputes.

Privacy Note

In compliance with the dispositions of article 5 of the Organic Law 15/1999, of December 13th, regarding Personal Data Protection, we inform you that the information which is collected via this online form will be included on a File duly inscribed before the Spanish Data Protection Agency. This will be done under the care of SOLHOP SL, with the purpose of managing your passenger transport service reservation with a third party company, as well as to keep you informed of promotions and news which may be of your interest and for which you give us your express consent.

We also inform you that your information will be passed on to the relevant transport companies (suppliers) in order to manage and carry out the purpose indicated.
