When is a good time to visit Valencia?

In short, all year round! If you would like to go swimming in the sea, the summer months will suit you better. However, the pleasantly mild temperatures during the winter months are perfect, if you want to explore the many sights of the city. Valencia gets an average of 300 days of sunshine per year, so there is a good chance that you will have some great weather during your stay, no matter what time of year you visit. However, if you are really averse to a spot of rain, then you may want to avoid October, which is generally the wettest month of the year in Valencia.

March is festival time in Valencia

If you like festivals, you should visit Valencia in March to attend the 5-day-long Fallas Festival. The event is popular with locals, people from all across Spain and foreign tourists alike, so the streets tend to get very busy. The celebrations start early, at around 8 am, every day and carry on late into the night. The Fallas Festival is an extremely noisy affair which is not for the faint-hearted, with processions, brass bands, an abundance of firecrackers, pyrotechnics and fireworks. Please ensure that you arrive well-rested, as you are unlikely to get much sleep during your stay!

Paella, anyone?

Did you know that Valencia is the birthplace of Paella? While, nowadays, you can get this traditional Spanish dish all across the country, its roots can be traced back to Valencia. Therefore, what better place to enjoy a delicious and authentically prepared paella than the city of its origins?

SolHoP provides great service. When we arrived, the driver waited for us even if we were late. And when we drove back to airport, the driver arrived on time. The customer service responses through email were also very quick and they answered all my questions promptly and thoroughly. We will use this service again when we return.

We were 5 people (inc. 3 kids) traveling from the center of Madrid to the Madrid airport. Given we had an early morning flight back to the U.S., we booked this taxi transfer. Booking was easy. The driver was very professional, on time, and the vehicle was very comfortable. I am glad we chose this service for an easy transfer at the beginning of a long journey home.

The driver was really professional and I was delayed due to luggage issues so I called him and he waited patiently for me. The car provided was an upgrade and a nice surprise and the ride back was smooth. Nice welcome and fluent in english

TravelGuy0505 (GR)

We were 5 people travelling from our hotel in Granda to a hotel in Malaga. The booking process and journey were both very comfortable. The vehicle was on time and the driver was very professional and courteous. The 7 seater van was also of luxury class ( Mercedes).
