How far is it from Malaga Airport to Mijas?

Are there alternative ways of getting from Malaga Airport to Mijas?
It is possible to get from Malaga Airport to Mijas by public transport. The best option would be to take the C1 train from Malaga Airport to Fuengirola. From there, you can catch the bus route M-122, which takes you up to Mijas Pueblo.
Alternatively, you can catch the airport bus that runs from Malaga Airport to the city centre. You will need to change to the M-113 bus that takes you to Fuengirola, where you can hop on the M-122 to Mijas.
The total travel time when using public transport will depend on your connections. Give or take, you are looking at roughly 1 hour and 30 minutes.
